Across Europe, extremist movements are not just spreading dangerous ideologies—they are also using powerful gender narratives to recruit and radicalise. At the heart of this strategy is a specific, often overlooked tool: masculinity. EMMELO is a Horizon Europe research project that explores how online extremist leaders across Europe perform and promote certain forms of masculinity—and how these narratives influence European men’s views on democracy, rights, and EU values.
The client’s objective was:
Emmelo sought to establish their online presence and create a dedicated website to share updates on their project’s development. The platform would serve as a central hub where visitors could follow the team’s journey, learn more about the project, and access the latest news as progress unfolded.
Our solution:
- Integrated a powerful content management system (CMS), enabling the client to easily add, update, and manage website - content without technical expertise, ensuring timely and seamless communication with their audience.
- Designed and implemented a fully responsive layout to guarantee optimal viewing and interaction across all devices—desktop, tablet, and mobile—so visitors can effortlessly follow the project’s progress anywhere, anytime.
- Added a user-friendly contact form to facilitate direct communication between the client and their visitors, making it simple to ask questions, provide feedback, or request more information.
- Developed a dedicated News page, providing a centralized platform for regularly publishing progress reports and keeping the public informed about the project’s latest developments.
- Conducted basic SEO optimization to improve the website’s visibility in search engines, helping attract more visitors and increase engagement from interested audiences.
